Australia's fuel security hanging by a thread

Australia is the world's 9th biggest energy producer but could run out of fuel in 22 days.

The only reason we have any refining capacity left at all is because Shell's Geelong facility (where I worked for a day 25 years ago) was rescued by a Swiss oil trader.

The NRMA commissioned Air Vice-Marshal (retd) John Blackburn to report on the situation.

Listen to an interview with him here.

An abridged transcript is here.

The report and other info can be found here.
